Sunday School

(part of the 10:30am service)

Open on Sundays at 10:30am !!

What is Sunday School?

Our Sunday School is a friendly environment for children and young people, including games, Bible study and time for prayer. It is part of our Sunday Morning Family Service starting at 10:30am.

What happens at Sunday School?

We have children's activities based on a variety of themes, including games, drama, cooking, singing, crafts, fundraising, outdoor activities and science.

We enjoy creative prayer activities and making Bible stories come to life.

We also enjoy a social time where we share what we've been up and what is happening in the world around us.

As the children and young people form a huge, integral part of Cole Street's life, the Sunday School often lead services on Sundays too. We use Sunday school time to put together these services.

Who can go?

Most children are primary school age but children and young people of any age are very welcome.

If your child is younger, we initially ask that you stay with them.

For older children, they may take part in aspects of leading activities with the young children or breaking-out separately for discussions and a time for study.

When is Sunday school?

Sunday school forms part of our 10:30am service. Children and young people stay in the main service for around 10 minutes for opening prayers and a song/hymn, and are then invited to leave with our leaders to our annex rooms. Children and young people are invited back in for the end of the service or for if we are taking communion.

How can my child join?

Children and young people are welcome to come along without any advance notice. We will simply ask the responsible adult to complete a registration form on the day.

Join in the fun!

We look forward to welcoming you and your family to Cole Street really soon!

If a Sunday morning is not for you, we have a variety of other social events and activities held by Cole Street for children and young people. See our 'What's On' page for more details
