Sunday Services
(usually 10:30am & 6:00pm)
On this page, you will find details about our Sunday Services.

The 'Plan' gives details about who is leading worship at Cole Street at our various services and events.
We are blessed to enjoy the words from a range of ministers, preachers and speakers from round the Circuit and further afield, each bringing their own message and style of worship.

If you scroll down the page, you will find details about our different services and what you can expect from them. This is a great section to read if you have never been to church or if you haven't been in a while.

Sunday Service - Family Worship
(usually 10:30am)
Family Worship & Sunday School takes place on Sunday mornings throughout the year starting at 10:30am. At these services, you can expect the usual main ingredients of worship with a family friendly approach. These services usually take place in the main church hall at Cole Street, with the congregation sitting in straight or curved rows or sometimes around tables in a cafe style.
You can expect lots of singing of hymns and praise choruses to music played on piano, from a digital hymnal through the sound system or from computer using video. Words, images and video are usually projected at the front of the church on two screens. Hymns books are also available if you prefer. The door steward and steward on duty will ensure a warm welcome for you at Cole Street.
Preachers and Ministers usually open with prayers and singing before addressing the children and young people of the congregation. Worship continues, after the children and young people have moved to Sunday School in the adjoining rooms, with readings, talks, offertory and prayers, as well as more singing!
These services last about an hour. Refreshments are served at the end of the service. On occasions, a variety of literature is available. What is always available is a time to chat and talk over a cuppa!

Normal, casual clothing is worn by most but you equally wouldn't look out of place if you wore a suit or smart dress.

These services last about an hour.
Some of these services may be held at Cole Street, but may also be held at Central Methodist, Dudley, St. James', Pensnett or Woodside Methodist, Woodside. Please check our preaching plan for details.
